The 1½-inch square copper focal was created using a masking technique, with three separate enamel colors forming the strong diagonal design. Small variations and unexpected marks created during the firing process give the surface the character of a piece made entirely by hand.
The focal hangs from a 1.5mm round black leather cord accented with striped Java glass beads, scarlet Czech glass beads, and silver-toned details. The simple leather construction keeps the necklace casual and easy to wear while allowing the graphic enamel work to remain the focus.
