Some pieces begin with materials. Emerald Lake began with a memory.
Inspired by a photograph taken during a trip to Alaska, Timothy began creating the centerpiece for Emerald Lake in March 2026. The image of the lake and surrounding landscape became the inspiration for an inverted triangular cloisonné enamel focal, translating the colors and character of the original scene into wearable art.
From there, the piece continued to evolve.
Timothy hand-fabricated a sterling silver backplate to frame the cloisonné focal, incorporating hand-stamped wildlife imagery into the silver as another reflection of the Alaskan landscape. An oval lapis lazuli cabochon and an amethyst cabochon, individually set into the composition, add natural color and dimension to the finished piece.
The pendant is suspended from pale lavender 3mm flat suede, accented with coordinating glass beads. A sliding-knot closure allows the necklace to be worn from approximately 20 to 28 inches, giving the wearer flexibility in how the substantial focal is positioned.
Coordinating hand-enameled copper earrings continue the colors of the necklace and are paired with complementary glass beads. The earrings measure approximately 2 3/8 inches in length.
Developed over several months and bringing together cloisonné enameling, metal fabrication, stone setting, stamping and beadwork, Emerald Lake represents the kind of layered craftsmanship and original artistic expression reserved for Timothy’s Collector’s Series.
