The necklace begins with a hand-cut and carefully polished copper focal, individually kiln-fired using a triple-layer enamel technique. Layers of emerald green, pastel teal and lavender enamel overlap and interact during firing, creating shifting areas of color and depth while allowing glimpses of the warmth of the copper beneath.
The enamel focal is surrounded by an artful combination of dyed Aurora Tiger Eye beads, etched iridescent Czech glass tube beads, Czech glass bicones and delicate Czech glass seed beads. The varied surfaces—from the softly polished stone to the textured and light-catching glass—echo the changing colors within the enamel and give the necklace dimension from every angle.
Measuring approximately 22 inches, the necklace is finished with a silver-plated toggle clasp and features an additional 1.25-inch focal drop.
